The Epica is Holden's attempt to take on Toyota's Camry and, in many ways, seems to have a few aces up its sleeve -- not the least of which is that the base engine is an inline six-cylinder. The front-drive Epica offers good value for money, along with a good-size interior and a decent boot. Recent changes have dropped the 2.0-litre six previously available and added a new, 110kW/320Nm four-cylinder turbodiesel to supplement the 2.5-litre 115kW/237Nm six-cylinder, along with stability control, six airbags and a six-speed auto in all versions. The CDXi adds automatic climate control and 17-inch alloys to CDX specification.
