Introduced in 2007(!), the Thai manufactured Mazda2 still reflects Mazda's current styling trend. The Neo Hatchback has been upgraded with more kit for less outlay. You get body coloured bumpers, door handles and mirrors. Inside there are power windows, cruise control, aux inputs, USB and iPod inputs. All Mazda2s are powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 76kW/135Nm. Gearboxes are a five-speed manual or four-speed auto. These return 6.4 L/100km and 6.8L/100km respectively. Five star ANCAP safety features include stability/traction control and six airbags. Recent models have also been graced with upgraded suspension for improved ride quality.
